Vettes in the Valley 2008
We have several additional Specialty awards to include: Best paint; Best Interior; Best presentation; Most patriotic and Best add ons/modifications. We will continue to have trophies for 1st Place in C-1 through C-6 and awards for at least the 2nd and 3rd place in C-1 through C-6, as well as the Mayors Trophy, the Wade Reece Memorial Trophy, trophy for the Corvette coming the farthest distance, trophy for the Corvette club bringing the most Vettes There will be trophies for "Peoples Choice" and "Participants Choice". We will be asking each club that attends to supply a judge, if they choose.
The Poker Run, Ladies "Shop Til You Drop" Poker walk, Corvette Parade, music, raffles, door prizes and more vendors will continue as in past years. This year "Fast Vette" is doing a "Corvette Wear " Fashion show. They will need men and women models, so if you are interested, let me know.
2008 is the Bi-Centennial year for Haywood County (here) and they are planning lots of events. Saturday evening, May 24, 2008 is the big Street Dance/ Outdoor Party and they will have special areas for "CORVETTE PARKING ONLY". Also, on Monday, Memorial Day there will be a big parade featuring military units as well as local units and a "Fly Over". It will be a great weekend.

Hi Everyone, Hope you are making plans to come to Maggie Valley, NC to attend the 4th Annual "Vettes in the Valley" -- it is going to be GREAT!!! I am getting registrations in every day, and if that continues, we will have over 400 Corvettes this year. We have a Title Sponsor - Brookside Village, Maggie Valley- a fabulous property containing a well appointed community with 8 buildings encompassing a total of 42 condominiums. Their ad line is " Brookside Village - Shop, dine, work, play, live". check them out on their website www.brooksidevillagenc.com. We are certainly happy to have them join "Vettes in the Valley'. They plan to bring in live entertainment daily, as well as several other enhancements to our show.
The vendors are also starting to come in - Kim's Gold with her beautiful gold Corvette jewelry (advance orders -724-945-5184); Illusion Photo is coming back this year, they take great photos of you in your Corvette and put them on the background of your choice; Fast Vettes with their Corvette accessories is planning to do a Fashion Show with you modeling; Galli Shirts and Sports Apparel bring gorgeous, embroidered Corvette items - if you want them personalized call them in advance and they will bring them to our show (845-226-7305); several parts vendors including "Chevy's Under Glass", Cranes Performance, Bob's Vette Shop, Corvette Originals, Mullikins Corvette Shop and more.
Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet has signed on as one of the sponsors and is bringing several tenderly used Corvettes to the show. Additional Sponsors include O'Reillys Auto Parts, Corvette Enthusiast Magazine, RC Cola, Smoky Mountain Living magazine, The Mountaineer newspaper, Blossman Propane and Ghost Town in the Sky.
The main event is the NCCC non points sanctioned judged car show as well as the Peoples Choice and Participants Choice Car show , with trophies and awards in each category C1 - C6. Specialty awards will be given, these are listed on the registration form along with the program for the 2 days. The Poker Run through the spectacular Smoky Mountains is fun, the Corvette Parade closes the show on Sunday afternoon. Entertainment, raffles, door prizes and some surprises complete the event.

There is plenty to do evenings - Percy Sledge - When A Man Loves A Woman, Dock of the Bay and many other hits, will be performing right here in Maggie Valley on Friday and Saturday nights, ticket information will be posted on the web site as soon as it is available. It is our Bi-Centennial so there is a lot happening.
The Host hotel - the Maggie Valley Inn (1-866-0201) has reduced rates for the Corvette show and Prudential 1st Choice Realty has great vacation cabins available for rent for the weekend or the week (866-926-4030).
