As of 11:00 AM, Saturday March 15 (Parade Day) the Welcome Easter Parade is still on.  If the weather causes a postponement, notice will be posted here as soon as it is available.

Welcome Easter Parade

Mar. 15 ( Sat.) ­ Welcome, NC. Easter Parade.  Parade starts at 3:00 PM.   Rain date ­ March 16 (Sun.) at 3:30 PM.  This is the largest Easter parade in NC. Decorate your car and bring plenty of candy.

Anyone whising to caravan to the parade should meet at the Old Ramada/American’s Best Value Inn located at I-40 and NC 68 (airport exit).   Caravan will leave at 1:30.

Directions to parade lineup point:  From New US 52 bypass take exit 92 and proceed south on old US 52. From Old US 52 turn onto Critcher Drive at Our Saviors Lutheran Church (see maps below).   There will be signs on the highway to direct you.  Please DO NOT go into Critcher Drive at the stop light at North Davidson School, since this entrance will be blocked off.  You MUST be in the parade lineup before 2:00 PM.  Late arrivals will not be allowed to participate. The parade starts promptly at 3:00 PM.
